How to Check Status Online (CNIC)

There are two primary ways to check if your child’s stipend is ready:

  1. 8171 Web Portal: Visit 8171.bisp.gov.pk. Enter the mother’s 13-digit CNIC and the captcha code. The result will show the “Taleemi Wazaif” balance alongside the Kafaalat payment.
  2. SMS Service: Send the mother’s 13-digit CNIC to 8171. You will receive an automated reply confirming the eligibility of enrolled children.
  3. Mobile App: You can download the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif App from the Google Play Store to track your children’s attendance and payment history directly.

Complete Registration Guide for 2026

While status checks are online, the initial registration must be done in person to verify school enrollment.

  • Step 1: The mother must visit the nearest BISP Tehsil Office with her original CNIC and the children’s NADRA B-Forms.
  • Step 2: Obtain an Enrollment Slip from the BISP counter.
  • Step 3: Take the slip to your child’s school. The Principal must fill in the EMIS Code, sign, and stamp it.
  • Step 4: Submit the stamped slip back to the BISP office.
  • Step 5: Once verified, you will receive a confirmation SMS. Payments usually begin in the next quarterly cycle.

Important Rules for 2026

  • Mother’s Status: The student’s mother must be an active beneficiary of the Benazir Kafaalat program. If the mother is disqualified, the children’s stipends will also stop.
  • Age Limits: * Primary: 4–12 years
    • Secondary: 8–18 years
    • Higher Secondary: 13–22 years
